The Local Area

If you are coming here to work, parking is easy and we are well placed to reach any part of the city. Bridge of Dee, Bridge of Don, Dyce and Tullos are all a short drive away and buses to most places can be found outside the door or along the road at Great Southern road. Jumping on a bus outside our house can take you all the way Culter and Milltimber if you want or going the other way, straight to the city centre and the railway station.

There is no doubt that Aberdeen with its beautiful granite architecture is a stunning city and Dunnydeer guest house sits right in the centre of the west end surrounded by some of the best buildings in the city.

Food

There are many local restaurants within a few minutes walk. The Great Western Hotel just 100m away is highly recommended and if you enjoy seafood then the Ashvale fish restaurant has won many an award. Further afield but all within walking distance, we favour places like Café 52 on the green and Moonfish café or Musa which has an interesting art theme.

You may see different opinions as to the best Aberdeen eatery but we reckon you should try the places above first. We also have various fast food restaurants close by and we can have food delivered easily to the house, Just ask Barbara for menus.

Leisure

From a variety of Gyms to football, golf, tennis, swimming and even Cricket, there are lots of places to go and exercise. However within 5 minutes of the house we have some of the East of Scotlands prettiest parks and woods. Our family have always been equestrian people so have links to the best stables in Aberdeen if riding is your thing.

We even have a path here that extends over 20 miles, From Duthie Park all the way to Ballater passing through the heart of Royal Deeside and close to Crathes and Drum Castles and the pretty village of Banchory. Whether cycling or walking, the path is just a few minutes from our front door.

Sights

Ok,  well Architecture obviously. And not just spectacular buildings like Marischal College. A little walk up the road will bring you to Rubislaw Den and some beautiful old and modern properties.

What about Parks, Aberdeen has lots from the popular Duthie Park and the Winter Gardens to the expansive grounds of Hazelhead Park. Or how about 20 miles of unspoiled sandy beach just North of the city and with a bit of notice we can organise Horse rides here.

Castles ?, we have lots of them from the extraordinary Dunnottar ruins to the Queens very own Balmoral. Or maybe a tour would be more your thing. Here in Aberdeen you can choose from Castle tours, Distillery tours, ancient history, wildlife and even Golf tours.

Come and see what Aberdeen has to offer.
